"Bank and Money" (bankand.money) is a community website for viewers of the
YouTube live stream channel Bank and Money. It is used to donate, send messages to the live chat, and play a
point-collecting quiz game during streams. This page explains what data we collect, why, and who can access it.
Information collected when signing in with Google
The only way to sign in on this site is "Sign in with Google" (linked to your YouTube channel).
We request the youtube.readonly scope to read only the following from your Google/YouTube account:
YouTube channel ID — used as a verified identifier that you own the channel, to link it to your membership account on this site
Channel name and profile picture — used for display on the site (e.g. donation history, points balance) and to automatically match your live chat username to your account (for the quiz game and points system)
We do not request permission to edit, upload, or delete any content on your YouTube channel (the scope requested is read-only),
and we do not access your email, contacts, or any other Google Account data beyond what is listed above.
Information collected from using the website
Points — calculated and stored in our own system, earned from donations or winning the live chat quiz game
Donation history — amount, attached message (if any), and the display name used when donating
Transfer slip images — used to automatically verify donations via a third-party slip verification service. Images are sent directly to that service for verification and are not stored in our system
Live chat messages — we read YouTube live chat messages that are already publicly visible, to display them on the live overlay and check quiz answers; they are not archived permanently
What we use the data for
Authenticating and distinguishing individual member accounts
Showing your own points balance and transaction history
Matching correct live chat quiz answers to accounts to award points automatically
Preventing abuse/spam (e.g. limiting how often certain features can be used per account)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Who has access to the data
Data is stored on encrypted databases and servers with access controls, accessible only to this site's admins.
External services involved with some of the data include Google (for login/chat data) and third-party transfer-slip
verification providers (only if you choose automatic verification).
